The 7th of October collection is a raw interpretation of the war’s impact, featuring works like "Eye of the Captive" and "Days Counted in Blood." These pieces depict the anguish of hostages and the relentless threats Israel faces. Through "Caged Futures," I explore the psychological toll of living in fear, using symbolic imagery such as barbed wire and cages to represent the barriers we build under distress.
Contrasting this intensity is my Shades of Blue collection, representing hope, reflection, and resilience through serene hues of blue. This series highlights the emotional spectrum that many of us have experienced, offering moments of calm amidst chaos.
As I reflect on the year since October 7th, these works are my way of transforming pain into art, using my brush to tell the stories of loss, survival, and hope. I invite you to explore these collections at www.nikita-artist.com and experience the emotions that shaped each painting.
Art has the power to heal, and through these collections, I hope to offer a place where pain is transformed into strength and inspiration.
With gratitude and hope,
Nikita Ben Ami
